Where Paint Becomes Light

Andrew Aviste apprenticed under the Norwegian master Odd Nerdrum, where he learned traditional methods for preparing and executing paintings. He then went on to earn A MA Degree in the humanities from Ralston College. It is the knowledge of the human form combined with a deeper understanding of the human soul that now informs his work. As always, he remains an eternal student striving to increase his competency in his craft.
